It is easy to forget who Christ is. I certainly have made Him to be something He is not, as I have tried to live through different seasons in my life. He is the One who draws near and the One who holds us close. He is not a man of sin to be judged by our standards of Him, but a Son of Man, who welcomes all into His love. I admit that I still viewed Christ as loving and the Father as mean and angry. This book showed me that is not the case.

Our view of the Triune God is shaped by institutions, programs, meetings, services. They are led by fallen creatures trying to interpret the most out of our lives. But sometimes these persons get it wrong and communicate something about God’s nature that never did apply to Him.

I think everyone should read this book. Especially those who doubt that God loves them or that there is a God at all. It is very needful to be read by the Christian who thinks they know. They might find, as I did, that you do not know as much as you think of who He is and what He is offering to you today. I had misconceptions. I did not realize the extent of some of the topics discussed in this book. And I can honestly say that each member of the Trinity met with me and spoke to my heart during the reading of this text. Won’t you give Him a chance to explain things to you from His point of view? You might be surprised by what you find.
