ANOTHER PAYDAY

There are so many things we are able to spend our money on. The Lord enjoys seeing the things that we will choose. He is excited for our our excitement, and it fills His heart to overflowing when we use the provision He has given as a way to provide for others. Do you have more than you thought you would? Ask Him what He wants you to do with the excess. When a bonus comes that is unexpected, is it really for our benefit? What about the man we see at the grocery store who only buys three things and a pack of cigarettes? What about the lady we see using food stamps just to scrape by week to week?

Here is the challenge to our hearts: we could cover the cost of helping another and still not come close to using most of the extra that has been given us but we do not act for fear the cost of helping will be more than we had planned for.

Even if the Lord asks for all of the extra, has anything of yours really been taken? You still have everything you had before you knew that the extra was coming. In reality, it would not take but a fraction of the extra in order for you to help. Then the rest is yours to enjoy.

I will offer this: extra is rarely provided for your benefit alone.
