I CHRONICLES 16 PRAYER

I give thanks to the Lord. Thank you that you allow me to call upon your name. Thank you that you make your deeds known among your people –v8

I will sing to you, I will sing praises to you; I will remember and speak of all your wonders –v9

I will boast in your holy name, thank you that you allow me to seek you. Thank you that you make my heart joyful when I seek you –v10

I will seek you Lord, I will seek your strength. I will remember to seek your face continually –v11

I will remember your wonderful deeds, the glorious deeds that you have done. Thank you for your marvels and for the judgments that come from your mouth –v12

Thank you that we are your servants, counted among your chosen people Israel, the sons of Jacob, your chosen people –v13

You are the Lord our God, thank you that your judgements are in all the earth –v14

I will remember your covenant. Thank you that your covenant lasts forever. Thank you for your Word, which you have commanded to a thousand generations –v15

Thank you for the covenant that you made with Abraham, thank you for your oath to Isaac –v16

I praise you for confirming it to Jacob as a statute, thank you for making your everlasting covenant with Israel –v17

Thank you for telling Israel, “to you I will give the land of Canaan, as a portion of your inheritance,” –v18

Thank you for remembering Israel when they were only few in number, when they were few and strangers in the land you promised them –v19

Thank you for guarding and watching over them, as they wandered from nation to nation and as they journeyed from one kingdom on toward another people –v20

Thank you for not allowing oppression to come to your people. Thank you for rebuking kings for the sake of your people. Thank you that you did not allow the rulers to touch your anointed ones and that you kept safe your prophets from them –v21-22

I will sing to the Lord, I will join with all the earth in proclaiming the good news of your salvation. I will recount the goodness of your love from day to day –v23

I will tell of your glory among the nations, I will remember your wonderful deed, the deed performed among all the people –v24

Great are you Lord, you are worthy to be praised and I will fear you above all other gods. For all the gods of the peoples are nothing more than idols, but I will remember that it is you, the Lord, who has made the heavens –v25-26

Splendor and majesty are before you, God. Thank you that strength and joy are found ever in your presence –v27

Ascribe to the Lord, you families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name. Let us bring an offering and come before Him, and worship the Lord in holy attire –v28-29

I tremble before you, Lord, let all the earth tremble before you. Thank you that the world is firmly established and that it will not be moved –v30

I will join with the heavens and be joyful. I will join with the earth and rejoice, and I will say among the nation, “The Lord reigns,” –v31

Let the sea roar, and everything it contains. Let the fields rejoice and everything that is in them. Then the trees of the forest will seeing for joy in the presence of the Lord, for He is coming to judge the earth –v32-33

I will give thanks to you, Lord, I will give thanks for you are good. Thank you that your faithfulness is everlasting –v34

My prayer comes before you, please save us, God of our salvation. Please gather us and save us from the nations so we may give thanks to your holy name, so that we may glory in your praise –v35

I will lift up my voice and declare, blessed be you, Lord, the God of Israel. You are from everlasting to everlasting! –v36
